Along with electing a new Mayor and Council, residents of Prince George cast another ballot on the issue of fluoridated water. Just over 10,000 votes came back in favour of removing fluoride, while only 8000 voted to keep it. Those organizing the campaign to have it removed say people were upset over having "medication" forced upon them without their permission. Other arguments were made around the cost of the program, but there was one main case made.
