Has fluoride made us stupid?

Published: Saturday, January 11, 2014 at 10:35 p.m.

I feel for those anti-fluoridation protesters in Austin, Texas, who are fasting for the rest of us.
It is bad enough that much of the rat poison they are putting into our water supply is from China, a potential enemy that puts lead in our kid’s toys and melamine in our pet food, but a Harvard University study concluded that fluoridated water reduces our IQ.
Fluorides as well as bromides also displace useful iodine from our receptors leaving our immune systems compromised.
Have your readers already forgotten how doctors endorsed the use of hormone replacement therapy in women, causing a spike in breast cancer?
Doesn’t anyone find it interesting that our FDA allows artificial flavors, colors, sweeteners known to be carcinogenic and yet only worries about cavities in our teeth.
I’ll take false teeth over cancer any day.
