I'm glad it's just our health on the line and not something important. I can confirm that Southern Water in a FOI request said....However, Public Health England has statutory powers to require that Southern Water implements fluoridation within its area of appointment. There is currently a proposed scheme relating to certain postcode areas of Southampton, Hampshire. This scheme was not originally promoted by Public Health England, but vested in them following the abolition of local strategic health authorities. It is correct that Public Health England are currently reviewing the status of this particular scheme.
