To see video of the debate go to Sunday, October 05, 2014 October meeting, in the archive. See who you would rather believe is genuine. Who has an open mind, who listens to the people and believes there is room for concern and not just mindlessly quote medical authorities that fluoridation is safe and effective.

The next spanner in the works...We need people with an open mind and Dave Shields isn't it,yes look at all the organizations who support fluoridation and the medical evidence, but as Dave seems to have forgotten there are two sides to the debate one being the mounting evidence against fluoridation, is Mr Shields doing a (PHE) and ignoring it,he is also on the side of the establishment believing everything these organizations tell him including the NHS who don't always get things right...Personally i think he's involved to stir things up and to change peoples views he clearly believes fluoridation is the answer to tooth decay when we all no it isn't...By the way he totally missed the point of having a choice the right to choose what we put in our bodies...

Just a reminder to those who quote the York Report...Firstly, the Government's own York Review found that long-term safety could not be guaranteed, and that the benefits were far less than had been claimed...Indeed, the York Review found that in fluoridated areas, the incidence of dental fluorosis was 48%, with 12.5% of cases being described as "aesthetically disturbing"...This was meant to be a "once and for all" review, and the conclusion of it was that there were no reliable pieces of research on the broader question of fluoride and health. There was a major deficiency in the scope of the York Review in that it was forbidden to consider laboratory experimental data...The whole concept of "a one dose fits all" regime is flawed.. If you are small, you are more at risk from the ill-effects of fluoride than if you are big...Perhaps Mr Shields should do a little research of his own instead of being a repeater...
