Bedford group say fluoride report is "one sided"
Last updated Thu 27 Mar 2014
A new report claiming that adding flouride to water supplies across the country would cut tooth decay significantly has been called one sided by a campaign group in Bedford who oppose the measure.
At the moment very few areas have the chemical routinely added to tap water but Public Health England says it would have huge benefits, particularly in deprived areas where dental health is often a problem.

I think the (PHE) only have one side, and i'm sure we all no which side that is...Most of what i have read is complete waffle and i'm still looking for the negative effects that's associated with fluoridation but they seem to have left that out...Perhaps they should approach the Lancet for a balanced non bias report...They disassociate fluorosis by saying: Children in fluoridated Newcastle upon Tyne are more likely than those in non- fluoridated Manchester to develop fluorosis of any level. However, children in fluoridated Newcastle have less tooth decay than those in non-fluoridated Manchester...You may have fluorosis but it's ok because you will have less decay, so you will have ugly but great teeth, "who writes this stuff"...
I don't care whether they could prove beyond any doubt that fluoride was effective, safe and happened to also cure premature baldness, it shouldn't be forced on people. That's it. They can argue about effectiveness, safety etc but fundamentally it comes down to forced medication and it JUST ISN'T RIGHT!
