Souhampton's anti-fluoride group looks for support at public meeting
1:06pm Friday 3rd April 2009

ANTI-fluoride campaigners will step up their fight against plans to add the chemical to Southampton’s tap water at a public meeting tomorrow.
Hampshire Against Fluoridation (HAF) members will be talking to residents about their concerns over the scheme, backed in February by regional health chiefs despite widespread opposition from people in the affected area.

Public Meeting
Hampshire Against Fluoridation have organised an open public meeting where there will be an opportunity to sign the petition, find out more about what we are doing since the decision and how you can help. This will take place on Saturday 4th April at:
Central Baptist Church
Devonshire Road
Southampton
Come along at any time between 12 – 6pm.
Legal Fighting Fund
We have launched a Fighting Fund and are seeking donations to help fight the SHA decision. We are currently taking legal advice to challenge this decision. All contributions gratefully accepted!

Yes,it is very important that the public back up those fighting this practice.
Promoters of water fluoridation lie when they claim that fluoridated water does not increase the incidence of cancer and other illness.

I quote the US Attorney at Law Janie Evins: "In the early 1990's, with trials of 11, 14 and 40 days to allow for extensive expert witness testimony, courts in Illinois, Texas and Pennsylvania each came to the same conclusion: fluoride at one part per million in the water, a) aggravates existing illnesses, b) causes adverse health effects, and c) contributes to a significant increase in cancer deaths."

Attorney Evins wrote this in a legal letter dated 19/02/09 that she sent to the Oral Health Director of the Arkansas Department of Health, Dr Lynn Mouden who had made false claims about fluoridation in order to promote the practice.

The letter is accessible via this link http://fluoridealert.org/arkansas.2-19-09.letter.pdf and would be an eye-opener for those who believe the lies about fluoridation's safety that are peddled by the government and other promoters of water fluoridation.

There are many who claim that that fluoridation is simply illegal along the lines of:

"The use of fluoridation as a prophylactic medical intervention without the fully informed consent of the public violates numerous articles of international conventions aimed at the protection of human rights with respect to State-sponsored medical interventions and health care, and undoubtedly constitutes medical malpractice, under the Nurnberg Code et al." So why is HAF apparently the first to suggest a legal challenge?

If we won, would we get costs?

What legal advice has already been obtained?

Which legal authority would we approach if we had that £1000?
